Cubism. Desire in Vision
October 5, 2006
Speaker: Robert S. Lubar
In connection with the exhibition Picasso. Muses and Models, Robert Lubar, professor of Art History at the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University, offered a lecture focused on Picasso’s muses. Pablo Picasso’s conception of the vision as something eroticized and deeply carnal, the exploration of the relations between the object and its representation and the use of the female figure as a starting point for artistic experimentation were some of the main themes that Professor Lubar talked about at MPM Auditorium.
