Drawing and Perspective

Thursday, 7 April, 2022

On 22nd February, Museo Picasso Málaga will be opening to the public the exhibition Face to Face. Picasso and the Old Masters, which offers visitors a unique opportunity to discover the links between the work of Picasso and a selection of works by the Old Masters, juxtaposing his paintings with those of El Greco, Francisco Pacheco, Giovanni Battista Caracciolo, Francisco de Zurbarán, Cornelius Norbertus Gysbretchs, Bernardo Lorente Germán and Diego Bejarano.

This workshop enables participants to look at the basic concepts of perspective and how to put them into practice, and to find out how artists used it over the centuries. Then they will do simple practical exercises, working on vanishing points to create the illusion of depth.

No prior knowledge of drawing is needed to take part in this workshop, which lasts approximately two-and-a-half hours.

The price per person is 15€. This includes all the materials needed for the activity, and free admission to the exhibition. NEXT WORKSHOP: Thursday, May 12, 2022 Drawing, shadow and volume
