Drawing stories with women
5May 20, 2022
On 22nd February, Museo Picasso Málaga will be opening to the public the exhibition Face to Face. Picasso and the Old Masters, which offers visitors a unique opportunity to discover the links between the work of Picasso and a selection of works by the Old Masters, juxtaposing his paintings with those of El Greco, Francisco Pacheco, Giovanni Battista Caracciolo, Francisco de Zurbarán, Cornelius Norbertus Gysbretchs, Bernardo Lorente Germán and Diego Bejarano.
Light and shade are the issues that have led to the most discussion and work over the centuries, from Baroque chiaroscuro to modern flat painting. In this workshop participants will learn step by step how to create light and shade in their drawings and sketches to create the illusion of volume, working with graphite pencils and charcoal.
No prior knowledge of drawing is needed to take part in this workshop, which lasts approximately two-and-a-half hours.
The price per person is 15€. This includes all the materials needed for the activity, and free admission to the exhibition.
