Hands on

As part of the programme of activities organized to coincide with the exhibition Miquel Barceló. Metamorphosis, Museo Picasso Málaga is offering a workshop for adults, in which they can learn to bake bread.

Just as pottery is linked to the origins of the history of humankind, bread is one of the most ancient gastronomic products, linked to all religions as a food of life. In both pottery and bread, the basic material undergoes a metamorphosis when cooked that produces something unique and unrepeatable.

Using Miquel Barceló’s ceramic work as their starting point, participants will explore hands-on the process of artisanal bread-making, guided by the master bakers of 25 Degrés.

The Other Museum is an innovative project by Museo Picasso Málaga that involves art practice and reasoning. A space that is usually used for exhibitions has been transformed into a comfortable and safe multipurpose area for holding workshops on weaving, engraving and ceramics.
