Holiday Worskshop: "From Picasso to Barceló"

bold text Dates: 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th April 2021, from 9.00am to 2.00pm.

Age: children aged 4 to 15. Groups will be formed according to age and activities will take place in the safe and comfortable environment of Museo Picasso Málaga’s El Otro Museo space.

Price: 125€ per person for the full workshop, or 25€ per day.

After Easter, for children who are on holiday Museo Picasso Málaga is the perfect plan. Learning and having fun getting to know the work of Pablo Picasso, here in his own museum, with the work of Miquel Barceló as a special guest.

We will take a transversal look at the themes that interested both artists, such as portraits, the sea, animals, history and books. We will look at these themes every day, using different ways of working.

On Monday, paint and watercolour. Two artistic mediums that both artists have used throughout their life.

On Tuesday we will be working with ceramics, using moulds or modelling directly with our hands, and painting with engobe, chalks and ceramic pigments.

On Wednesday, the subject will be engraving and printmaking, working with inks, rollers and different types of paper.

On Thursday, Barceló’s totems and Picasso’s assemblages will help us to think about different ways of making a sculpture.

On Friday it will be time to use photos and souvenirs to create our very own illustrated book. We’ll make a notebook out of different types of paper and fill it with stories and illustrations.-
