Jazz at the Picasso
Dec 2 and 9, 2023
The Museo Picasso Málaga informs that the concert by the Enrico Pieranunzi Trio, scheduled as part of the series Jazz at the Picasso. Jazz Trios for Saturday 9 December at 9 p.m. in the Christine Ruiz-Picasso Auditorium of the Museo Picasso Málaga, has undergone a change.
Enrico Pieranunzi will be replaced by Enrico Zanisi.
The Marc Copland and Enrico Pieranunzi jazz trios are performing at the Museo Picasso Málaga’s auditorium in the latest of the series of jazz concerts the museum has been organising since 2010.
Marc Copland has produced an astonishing more than forty albums, acclaimed by critics, in solos, duos, trios, quartets and quintets. In 2016 Copland established his own label, InnerVoice Jazz. The pianist’s involvement in the recording industry has grown every year without detriment to his quality. In 2020 Jazzstation awarded him the prize for number one acoustic pianist of the year. In this trio he is accompanied by Stephane Kerecki, one of the most sought-after jazz double-bassists today, and Fabrice Morau, probably the most active French jazz drummer.
Enrico Pieranunzi, a pianist, composer and arranger, has recorded more than seventy albums including piano solos, duos, trios and quintets. He has composed several hundred pieces, some of which have become standards that are performed and recorded by musicians all over the world (such as Night Bird and Don’t Forget the Poet). Pieranunzi is accompanied by Luca Bulgarelli, hailed by critics as one of the best Italian double-bassists, and Mauro Beggio, a drum player with a long track record.
