A Fifteenth Anniversary event
Museo Picasso Málaga has invited experts on different subject areas to offer their own views on the subjects covered by the exhibition. This time, the tour will be led by Juan Antonio Sánchez López, professor of art history at UMA. Between 2013-2014, and as its co-director, he set up the First MA course in Spanish Baroque Sculpture. Since 1997, he has been the Scientific Director of the Museum of Sacred Art at the Cistercian Abbey of Santa Ana, devoted to Baroque sculpture and, in particular to Pedro de Mena y Medrano. He has also been scientific advisor to the National Gallery in London, involved in the selection and contents of the exhibition The Sacred Made Real. Spanish Painting and Sculpture 1600-1700.
