Examples of works depicting posed models
Activity in Spanish
“I want the paint to work as flesh does. If you don’t over-direct your models and you focus on their physical presence, interesting things often happen. You find that you capture something about them that neither of you knew." Lucian Freud
Bacon, Freud and the School of London brought together outstanding examples of works depicting posed models. This provided the theme for this workshop which took place over four sessions on 1, 2, 8 and 9 June in collaboration with the Museo de Málaga.
Led by the Museo Picasso Málaga’s team, the workshop was taught by Rosa María Rodríguez Mérida, professor of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Málaga. Participants worked with different techniques so prior knowledge of drawing was required.
Price: 75 euros, materials included (blocs, Chinese ink, charcoals, graffiti, chopsticks, fixative, cakes). 50% discount for unemployed and accredited university students. Places: 40.
