The Museo Picasso Málaga and SECC, the Sociedad Estatal de Conmemoraciones Estatales, attached to the Spanish Ministry of Culture, jointly organised the series of lectures Picasso and the Mediterranean, as a parallel activity to the exhibition The Picassos from Antibes.

Natasha Staller, Associate Professor of Fine Arts at Amherst College, closed the lecture series with her address, Memories of Málaga: Fundamental Source of Picasso’s Imaginary World.
