Seminar ‘Kupka or the Telepathic Origin of Abstraction’ Speaker: Mª Teresa Méndez Baiges

To complement the temporary exhibition František Kupka. Works from the Centre Pompidou Collection, this series of talks contextualized the artist, his work, his time, and the key issues involved in his approach.

Lectures were given by Brigitte Léal, Associate Director and Head of Collections at the Musée National d’Art Moderne-Centre de Création Industrielle (MNAM-CCI); Francisco Jarauta of the University of Murcia (11 March); Pascal Rousseau of the François-Rabelais University, Tours (18 March); and María Teresa Méndez of Málaga University, academic co-ordinator of the seminar (25 March).
