Can ceramics be considered either “popular” or “artistic”, or are they two parts of a whole? How relevant is this ancestral technique today? What possibilities does ceramic production have to offer today? These are just some of the questions that will initiate this discussion among experts on a form of artistic expression that has been linked to the basic need for human survival as well as the height of luxury and refinement.

The Other Museum is an innovative project by Museo Picasso Málaga, involving art practice and reasoning. A space that is usually used for exhibitions has been transformed into a comfortable and safe multipurpose area for hosting workshops on weaving, engraving and ceramics.
