Conversations with Ramón Paredes

Talk in Spanish

Ramón Paredes graduated from Madrid’s Escuela Oficial de Cerámica in 1982, and he trained as a potter with A. Vivas in Barcelona, Byron Temple in Granada and Angel Garraza in Sangüesa, province of Navarra. Since then he has worked simultaneously in ceramics, engraving and painting. He has also produced a number of ceramic interventions for public and private spaces.

From his own viewpoint as a ceramist, Paredes gave a tour of the exhibition Eye Games. Collection, during which he explained a number of the ceramic works on display. It was a singular approach that will offer new ways of understanding and perceiving Picasso’s work.

This conversation with Ramón Paredes was the first in a series of three talks that continued on 5th May at the same time with Pablo Fernandez Berrocal, professor of psychology, and concluded with Salvador Haro on 2nd May, Dean of Málaga University’s Faculty of Fine Arts.
