Social Participation
Total Picasso. Social participation project
Jan 1 —— Dec 21, 2025
Total Picasso is a project that explores the content of Pablo Picasso: Structures of Invention. The Unity of a Life’s Work with the goal of bringing the Museum closer to socially vulnerable groups through artist creation.
Total Picasso: Social Participation Programme is the name under which the Museo Picasso Málaga performs its work devoted to promoting the participation of people of all kinds in cultural activities from an inclusive perspective.
The programme, begun in 2003, started out as part of the Museum’s educational activities. That is why Total Picasso is the framework in which the Department of Educational and Cultural Activities has established courses of action for devising projects, research and a network of collaboration between professionals and institutions directly related to a social purpose, which has been progressively growing since the Museum opened.
Total Picasso is the main course of action that lends coherence to each proposal, with a common methodology and key objectives.
Since 2003, more than 30,000 people have participated in Picasso Total initiatives, forming part of the network of professionals, users and family members who enjoy expressions of art and culture every day.
Total Picasso is currently a single programme that brings together artistic projects (evaluable in the medium and long term with people in vulnerable situations) based around the content of the Museum’s exhibitions, as well as visits and artistic production workshops.
