MUSEO PICASSO MÁLAGA AND FUNDACIÓN “LA CAIXA” ORGANIZE THE 11TH SEMINAR 'LIVING WITH MY OTHER SELF. THE CHALLENGES OF SOCIAL MEDIA.'
14/12/2021
For the eleventh consecutive year, Museo Picasso Málaga and Fundación “la Caixa” are jointly organizing the Seminar on Art and Social Participation, which is aimed at professionals in the cultural and social sectors. Living with my Other Self. The Challenges of Social Media will be held on the afternoon of Thursday 16th December and will look at the new forms of participation in digital culture, and in social media specifically.
Our digital identity is an extension of our physical identity and, in this event, we are proposing a debate on issues such as how we can create a responsible online identity. What risks are we facing from online networks themselves? How do we submit our own data and how is it used? Are we creating online identities that are remote from our physical ones? What impact can this have on us? Where are we heading?
The event will include guest speakers Gemma Galdón, sociologist and researcher at the sociology department of Universidad de Barcelona, and Ana Estévez Gutiérrez, teacher of psychology at Universidad de Deusto. Registration for the seminar is free and will be held on Thursday 16th December from 5.00pm to 7.30.pm, in the safe and comfortable El otro museo space.
Organized by Museo Picasso Málaga in collaboration with Fundación “la Caixa”, over its consolidated trajectory this seminar has looked at issues such as accessibility, functional diversity, mental health, gender, migration, science, majority participation and Alzheimer’s disease.
