Museo Picasso Málaga presents its 2015 exhibition calendar

Louise Bourgeois and German Art, on the agenda for next year.
Two new looks at the work of Pablo Picasso and a retrospective of the complex and fascinating oeuvre of Louise Bourgeois are the focus of MPM’s exhibition programme for 2015.
The exhibitionyear kicksoff in February, with a dialogue between the work of Picasso and contemporaries such as Braque, Gris, Matisse andMiró.The exhibition Movements and Sequences. Permanent Collection is the result of an examination of MPM’s own holdings of drawings, highlighting the way fragmentation of the image and the incorporation of multiple viewpoints, both of which are features of Cubism, brought a revolutionary new dynamism to art.
The summer will be devoted to the work of one of the great artists of the 20th century: Louise Bourgeois. Original and complex, diverse and fascinating, this retrospective will showover 100 works,covering the artists entire career from 1930 to 2009, some of which have never been shown in public before.
In the autumn, Picasso. German Records will show for the first time the principal links, affiliations and divergences between Pablo Picasso´s artistic career and German art. Georg Baselitz, Max Beckmann, Lucas Cranach the Elder, Lucas Cranach the Younger, Otto Dix, Max Ernst, Hannah Höch, Wassily Kandinsky and Martin Kippenberger, are just some of the artists whose work will be seen in an exhibition that brings together over 200 artworks, offering a fresh look at the Andalusian artist’s oeuvre.
