During July and August, the Museo Picasso Málaga will be open every day from 10am until 8pm, with additional hour on Fridays and Saturdays, closing at 9pm. The museum opens Mondays, an additional day, differing from its regular schedule throughout the rest of the year. By doing so, the museum admits more visiting days for the locals whom during these months enjoy a few days of relaxation, as well as for the tourists that Málaga receives on their holidays. During these months, besides being able to contemplate the MPM collection, which gives account to 80 years of Pablo Picasso&rsquo";"s oeuvre, the Museum also hosts two temporary exhibitions, El Lissitzky. The Experience of Totality and Picasso TV.

As a novelty, an audio guide system has been incorporated in the visit to the Museo Picasso Málaga Collection and is included in the ticket price. Forty minutes of narration accompany the visitors on their journey through the artwork and the architectural spaces of the Museum. The issues that the Pablo Picasso&rsquo";“s work put into question and the importance of this artist in Art History are addressed, making the museum&rsquo”;“s contents more accessible to its public and transforming the visit into a dynamic and enriching experience. This equipment is also adapted for visually and auditory impaired visitors. The general visit to the Collection &ndash”;" is available in Spanish, English, French, German, Dutch, Chinese, Russian and Japanese &ndash";" is complemented with tours through the temporary exhibitions.

In the Museo Picasso Málaga&rsquo";“s new bookstore, located next to the museum&rsquo”;"s exit, offers an ample catalogue of publications and objects of exclusive distribution that the visitor may purchase before leaving the establishment. The main MPM bookstore nonetheless, with direct access to the Plaza de la Higuera, remains open for the locals accustomed Se mantiene asimismo la Librería MPM, con acceso directo desde la Plaza de la Higuera, para aquellos ciudadanos habituados a conocer y comprar sus publicaciones especializadas en arte y los catálogos de las exposiciones del Museo Picasso Málaga.
