At the meeting the executive board of the MPM discussed key issues related to the museum’s future strategy, notably its international visibility, the strengthening of its educational programme and opportunities for new institutional collaboration. In particular, it reviewed the artistic and educational programme that the museum has put together for the last quarter of 2024 and for 2025.

At the end of the meeting, Bernard Ruiz-Picasso and the regional minister signed a collaboration agreement between the Fundación Almine y Bernard Ruiz-Picasso (FABA) and the Museo Picasso Málaga providing the framework for the exhibition Reflections. Picasso-Koons at the Alhambra. The show has the invaluable sponsorship of the Fundación Unicaja and the collaboration of the board of trustees of the Alhambra and Generalife, as well as the Museo de Bellas Artes de Granada.

The regional minister for culture and sport reaffirmed her commitment to providing the museum with institutional sport, acknowledging its role as a driving force for culture and tourism in the region. The Museo Picasso Málaga is continuing to strengthen its position as a leader in the preservation and dissemination of Pablo Picasso’s legacy and in the promotion of the arts and culture.
