Royan and your notebook. Writing workshop

The writer Wisława Szymborska stated: ‘Write about what you know’.

Taking Picasso’s experience in Royan as inspiration, in this workshop, run by writer Silvia Nortes, the Museo Picasso Málaga proposes using reality as original material by paying attention to the questions that arise in day-to-day life and converting them into raw material. Like the sketchbooks and notebooks the artist used when he arrived in Royan, notebooks will be participants’ canvas and life their pen.

Participants will have the chance to stroll around the exhibition galleries where n Picasso: The Royal Sketchbooks is on display, taking time to write without distractions, discovering the power of attentive and present writing.

Silvia Nortes is an editor at LAVIDITA and a writer. With a degree in journalism, communication and advertising, she has worked in press cabinets and communication departments in Madrid, London and Istanbul. On returning to Spain she contributed to national and international media as a freelance journalist. At LAVIDITA she currently works with narrative, literature and content editing and runs workshops on storytelling, communication and writing.
