SDG 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages
May 31, 2023
‘Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages’ is the theme of Sustainable Development Goal number 3 (SDG 3). This talk will be given by Pablo Fernández Berrocal, Professor of Psychology and Director of the Emotions Laboratory, and José Miguel Pena Andreu, a specialist in psychiatry and Director of the Department of Public Health and Psychiatry at Málaga University.
The topics addressed include the importance of ensuring a healthy life and promoting well-being at all ages, which are essential requisites for sustainable development. Before the pandemic, progress was made in improving the health of millions of people. These developments were specifically achieved by increasing life expectancy and reducing some of the causes of death commonly associated with material and child mortality. However, further efforts are needed to completely eradicate a wide range of diseases and to address a large number of ongoing and emerging health problems.
